Trekking Kalabria Coast to Coast

The Kalabria Coast to Coast is a walk that crosses Calabria from one sea to the other, connecting the Ionian coast to the Costa degli Dei in the Vibonese territory. It is a slow and immersive travel experience, designed for those who want to discover the most authentic Calabria, away from traditional tourist routes. The route develops along natural paths, dirt tracks, countryside and small villages, offering a continuous change of landscapes and atmospheres. During the walk you cross still-intact rural areas, forests, hills and panoramic points that tell of a lesser-known face of Calabria. Among the most evocative passages is the area of Lake Angitola, one of the most fascinating natural environments in the zone. The final part of the route delivers the strongest emotions: the landscape gradually opens until it gives way to the Tyrrhenian Sea, accompanying the walker towards the Costa degli Dei. The arrival in the Pizzo area marks the transition from hinterland to sea.
