Pick vegetables from the garden and prepare artisan preserves following the traditional recipes of Calabrian countryside.
This experience was born in the countryside of the province of Vibo Valentia, where preserving food was not a gourmet choice but a necessity. Here preserves are still made the old way, following the rhythms of the land and the seasons. The experience starts directly in the vegetable garden. Accompanied by the owners, visitors harvest fresh seasonal produce: tomatoes, peppers, aubergines, courgettes. You walk between the rows, choose ripe produce and understand what to pick and why. From the fields you move to the processing spaces, where the most authentic part begins: washing, cutting, preparing and jarring. Every gesture is explained as it was done in peasant homes, with stories of family life and summers spent making preserves for winter. It is not a cooking class but a shared experience. You work together, talk, taste. At the end you enjoy what has been prepared, accompanied by local bread, with the satisfaction of having taken part in a ritual rooted in the memory of the territory.
