Arrival and a stroll through Tropea's alleys to the viewpoint over Santa Maria dell'Isola. Afternoon on the beach below the cliff and a sunset aperitivo over the Tyrrhenian Sea.

Day 2
Capo Vaticano and its coves
A morning among the coves of Capo Vaticano and the lighthouse with views of the Aeolian Islands. In the afternoon, a swim at Grotticelle, one of the beaches locals love most.

Day 3
Pizzo and the tartufo ice cream
Visit the Murat Castle and the little church of Piedigrotta carved into the rock. End on a sweet note with the real tartufo di Pizzo in the town square.

- Park outside Tropea's centre and walk down: in summer the alleys are pedestrian-only.
- The best sunset over Santa Maria dell'Isola is from the Largo Galluppi viewpoint.
- In Pizzo ask for the old-style tartufo: a heart of dark chocolate, not sugar.
